The one thing ive always dreaded about - Someday my friends deserting me cuz i might not be worth the effort. It is a nightmare ... and the only thing ive never experienced to date.Given: I am the defination of the word - PATHETIC@KeepingInTouch.
It has never been my thing, to pick up the phone just to say Wasssup?
And i still dont know the reason, how come it doesnt cross my mind to find out what my friends are upto.
Is it because i have heaps of friends...different kinds ...and different genre's (building, my church, neighbouring churches, cousins, school, junior college,enggr college, MBA college, tutions, classes, GTL, friends' friend, chat friends-who r almost extinct now...BELIEVE ME ...its endless). And they are all GOOD friends ...not temporary ones. With whom i have the privilege of spending the best times of my life.
Or CALLING is just not my thing. It is also funny that...if u call me.. i will not shut up...and its a pain to end the call then.
Ive had friends giving me "ITS MY LAST CALL"warnings...."REMEMBER ME???" taunts...
and for some reason...they are fed up...but havent given up on me.
I realised..that it is necessary to keep in touch... put tht extra effort n time..to meet friends. If not yourself...the other person sure enjoys it.
Recently, i was at the receiving end... where my buddy.. just dropped home unexpectedly..only because he was sick of ME not having the time or making time for my friends. It has left me astounded and elated...
I aint that bad also. Because i dont enquire on a daily basis..it is highly unlikely to miss any party or planned meeting. Celin not being for a bday party, or a lunch, or a night out...is IMPOSSIBLE! Id change any plan...but not miss my meeting my friends.
I dont know if its remotely pacifying.... but im learning n im changing n cleaning up my act.

Many people have lots of friends. But they manage to keep in touch.

celinaaaa think it in this way...
if u call-up ur frnd just to chk up on him/her .. how they r doin in life... the joy on their faces and the eagerness in thier sound wud b worth admiring..
